Businesses/MSMEs have been badly hit due to COVID-19 and need additional funding to meet operational liabilities to built up, buy raw material and restart business.

Govt. of India to support the businesses/MSMEs in such situation has launched an Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS 1.0 and 2.0) of Rs. 3 lakh Cr via National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited (NCGTC).

The scheme provides an emergency credit line to businesses/MSMEs from banks and NBFCs up to 20% of their entire credit outstanding as on 29^th Feb 2020. The additional exposure will have 100% credit guarantee cover to banks and NBFCs on principal and interest by the Govt. of India via NCGTC.
